PAL Course Sign-Up
Shooters Haven PAL Course Cancellation Policy
At Shooters Haven, we understand that plans can change. However, due to limited class sizes and high demand, we have the following cancellation policy in place for all PAL (Possession and Acquisition Licence) courses:
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made 10 days or more before the scheduled course date will receive a full refund or may choose to transfer to a future course date at no additional charge.
Cancellations made within 10 days of the course date are non-refundable, as your spot has been reserved and materials prepared.
No-shows on the day of the course will forfeit 100% of the course fee.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests must be received at least 10 days in advance.
Requests received less than 10 days before the course may be accommodated at the discretion of Shooters Haven, subject to availability and a $50 rescheduling fee.
Course Cancellations by Shooters Haven
In the rare event that Shooters Haven must cancel or reschedule a course (e.g., instructor illness, weather, or insufficient enrollment), participants will be notified as soon as possible and may choose either:
A full refund, or
A transfer to another available date at no cost.
PAL Course Expectations and Objectives
Start Times: 8:15AM arrival to begin at 8:30AM, late comers will be denied entry as this is very disruptive to the class.
Course consists of instruction time and testing, there are 2 tests, a written test which is written as a group and a practical test which is administered one on one.
The Non-Restricted can be a long day as testing takes time, the Restricted course is usually shorter as the lecture time is not as long.
Please show up ready to learn, there are forms that must be filled in and notes to take so bring a pen, a notebook can also be helpful, but you will be given a textbook that you can make notes in.
The textbook will be available to you to pick up so you will have time to look at the information prior to coming to class, we will contact you when they will be ready.
You will receive confirmation that you have been registered for the class.
There are usually 2 short coffee breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. There is also a lunch break. There is a microwave on the premises.

- Comply with firearms law
- Storing firearms and ammunition safely
- Displaying firearms safely
- Transporting firearms safely
